Brooklyn Film Festival, the non-profit, internationally recognized organization, asked us to create a new visual ID for their 2019 celebration. A rebrand from head to toe, with work including: logo redesign, color palette refresh and a proposed look and feel for the years printed materials consisting of festival programs, passes and more.
Drawing inspiration from the overlapping circles in the logo, a representation of both the camera lens and the double 'O' in Brooklyn, we developed a heavily typographic aesthetic and used the circular shapes to create negative space and unique cut outs.
Color inspiration came from the iconic Williamsburg Bridge, combining a soft 'steel' blue and a rusty pink tone.
